Don’t Be Complacent!
Introduction:
1. The Rebuke (5:11-23)
• ‘Slow to learn’ (5:11) is the same as ‘lazy’ (6:12).
• ‘You need milk, not solid food!’
2. Milk (6:1-3)
• (1) Repentance and (2) Faith in God
• (3) Baptisms and (4) Laying on of hands
• (5) Resurrection and (6) Eternal judgement.
3. Solid Food (6:4-20)
a) A terrifying warning (v4-8).
b) A great encouragement (v9-12).
c) An anchor in the storm (v13-20).
Conclusion:
• Beware of complacency. (Self-examination is good!)
• Know what you believe.
• Practice your faith.
• Anchor your life in Christ.
